This view gave me solace
This view gave me gladness
This view gave me the power to heal
I have needed this window and this view
At a time in my life where I have been devalued
Worth less every day and every step of the way
This sunset, this seascape, these mountains gave back
Worth less every day and every step of the way
At a time in my life where I have been devalued
I have needed this window and this view
This view gave me the power to heal
This view gave me gladness
This view gave me solace

This is for d’Verse poetics. Our theme was to take a picture from a window…
Oh what a gorgeous view! The majesty of what you see…Not sure if those are sunrises or sunsets from this view…but either, to me, is a reason for hope. The knowledge that a new day shall arrive and with it, the opportunity to love oneself and others anew. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for posting.

Nice gentle, personal response to the prompt, and the message works well within that form. There is an under-taste of sadness here, but poetry is our gallery for emotional egress.

Beautiful collage. I like how the poem’s form waved to the central crest where one could take a breath of hope.

A poignant poem with such an important message of the healing gifts of nature. I can understand the how calming that view is. I find being in beauty and writing poetry is such an important way to move beyond the negative. Sending virtual hugs your way.

Yes, with a view like that, one has solace, and beauty and….hope…….THIS is the beautiful world we live in. It is humans who make it something else. You have a stunning view. Wowzers!

A view to inspire is an essential ingredient of being alive. We all need a view…outer or inner. Lovely poem.

I am so sorry you have been made to feel devalued. But I so love that the views give you hope, strength and healing. There is so much healing in nature. Lovely poetic form as well. Hugs to you.

In spite of all darkness some sunrises are meant for us. They heal and fill us. An amazing window view is here.

Such a stunning view, Alison, which has given you so much. I love the shape, the circularity and repetition, which draws a darker thread of despair together with the golden view, to give depth to the whole.

I’m glad the view sustains you and works its magic when you need it…the repetition works well here.:-)
