Worthlessness wins
Nauseating numbness
Dreams diminish and die
Silent sorrows surface
Regret rising like a rancid tide.

A palindrome poem. This was my first attempt at a Palindrome poem the other week. I was at a low ebb, things had been a little complicated. I thought I would submit it for the open link night at d’Verse.
You’ve nailed the form! The mood is strong – tons of power. Poem onward, my friend!

You’ve packed a punch in the form of writing. Raw, powerful, and excellent writing. My favorite poem by you. 🙂

Nicely written palindrome, Alison. Those days come and go and somehow we get through them and even grow because of them. I hope things have eased up a bit.

Ouch. Some circles are just things of horror, regardless of how we read them.
Fantastic use of the form.

A well-written palindrome poem, Alison! I like the use of alliteration, which adds to its punchiness.

Powerful…your emotions come through very clearly and the form worked well with the tone of your expressed feelings.

The prefect form I think for what you were expressing. Days like these, even the mirror reflects it all. Something to be said for embracing the place where we are without judgement. I think writing allows us to do this.

A very honest poem and I like the use of alliteration which doubles up the palindrome effect. Nicely done!
