Angst and angry throes
And Midsummer Woes
June blue
Sadness overflows
Dark Depression shows
Blue you
When Nobody knows
Just how raw it blows
Breakthrough.
Alison Jean Hankinson
Still playing around with the lai concept for d’Verse...whilst watching the early votes come in……
You nailed the form! Your poetic voice is well done as well.

Raw – perfect word choice! Well written lai.

That’s the kind of thing I do when watching that kind of “something” on TV. It should be interesting. I know of that June Gloom having lived in Brittany and on the California Coast. It can get to you.

Ha, this summer is almost our Indian summer. So woes, blows peep in my lines too.

With all the woes, thankfully there’s a breakthrough at the end.

“…just how raw it blows…” visceral words to describe depression. The form works well for your words here. Am glad to see the “breakthrough” at the end.
